On the V-600UHD, you can control up to 6 PTZ cameras over a LAN (Local Area Network).
Check the lists of compatible cameras before attempting to setup your camera.
For more information on configuring your IP addresses, please read this article.
Example LAN
If you connect a computer, V-60HD, and 6 compatible PTZ cameras to a network switch, here is an example of IP addresses you can assign:
- Computer (optional for WebRCS) - 192.168.2.2
- V-600UHD - 192.168.2.3
- PTZ A - 192.168.2.4
- PTZ B - 192.168.2.5
- PTZ C - 192.168.2.6
- PTZ D - 192.168.2.7
- PTZ E - 192.168.2.8
- PTZ F - 192.168.2.9
The first three numbers in each set of four are identical for each device.
All devices in this configuration can have their Subnet Mask set as 255.255.255.0.
The Gateway IP address and DNS addresses can be left blank.
Note that you will also need to configure the IP address for each camera as well. This varies by manufacturer and model, so you will need to refer to that product's documentation for steps on how to adjust those settings.
The following information is from the V-600UHD Reference Manual.
