AeroCaster: Can I mix the audio inputted to the VRC-01, the audio input from my smartphone’s mic and the audio signal from an audio/video file on my iPad?

All audio input coming into the AeroCaster LIVE app is mixed together.

Here’s how to adjust the individual levels.

VRC-01
LINE IN jack
(stereo mini type)		 [LINE IN] fader Use this jack for audio input. Connect this to your audio player or similar device.
MIC 1 connector
(XLR, TRS)		 [GAIN] knob (MIC 1) + [MIC 1] fader

Use this connector for audio input. Connect a mic or audio device here.
The XLR type connector can supply phantom power (+48 V).
MIC 2 connector
(XLR, TRS)		 [GAIN] knob (MIC 2) + [MIC 2] fader
PHONES/HEADSET jack
(stereo mini type)

[HEADSET/ONBOARD MIC] knob

The headset mic and onboard mic cannot be used at the same time. The onboard mic is disabled once a headset is connected.

To input audio, connect your headset.
Onboard Mic This is the mic that’s built into the unit.

About the iPad volume settings

If the volume on the iPad is set to minimum or if the iPad is set to silent mode (mute), the audio of the AeroCaster LIVE app is not outputted. Use the volume buttons or Control Center on the iPad to set the volume to maximum.

Audio material

Adjust the volume using the AeroCaster LIVE app.

Refer to “Adjusting the volume of the assigned audio” in “Assigning Audio, Still Images and Video (MEDIA)” of the AeroCaster LIVE Owner’s Manual.

 AAC (.mp4, .m4a), MP3 (.mp3), and WAV (.wav) data formats are supported.
Video material

Adjust the volume using the AeroCaster LIVE app.

Refer to “Setting the playback start position and volume of assigned videos” in “Assigning Audio, Still Images and Video (MEDIA)” of the AeroCaster LIVE App Owner’s Manual.

  
Preinstalled audio material
(background music, sound effects)

Adjust the volume using the AeroCaster LIVE app.

Refer to “Playing back the preinstalled background music and sound effects (1, 2)” in “Playing Back Audio (Background Music, Sound Effects)” of the AeroCaster LIVE Owner’s Manual.

You can play back the preinstalled audio material by operating the VRC-01.

Onboard mic

Adjust the volume using the AeroCaster LIVE app.
